Ylang-Ylang, St. John

Just a convenient 15-minute walk to Cruz Bay, this villa is next door to Mandavilla, on Mandavilla's west side. Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, Ylang-Ylang is built on two levels and overlooks lovely ocean views of Cruz Bay's harbor and St. Thomas beyond, and sparkling seas to the horizon.

The main level has a living room and full kitchen, with an air-conditioned king master bedroom/bath suite adjoining; pocket sliding doors open from both rooms onto the deep covered verandah set with a pool. The verandah fronting the villa is spacious, cool and shady, and is furnished as another alfresco living area for comfortable relaxation and dining with a view.

Below, via a sheltered exterior staircase, is the lower air-conditioned king master bedroom/bath suite. Ylang-Ylang is beautifully furnished and very well equipped for your vacation pleasures, with lots of extra amenities, including a DSL line + Wi-Fi for your laptop. You may rent just Ylang-Ylang for one to four persons, or you may also rent Ginger Thomas and/or Mandavilla (Ylang-Ylang's two adjacent sister villas) together, to sleep up to 12 persons in three separate villas.

Although these villas are right next door to one another, privacy between the three properties is well maintained, thanks to creative design and luxuriant landscaping. And Ylang-Ylang is so conveniently located near Cruz Bay - just a short walk or about a 1-1/2-minute drive away for shopping, dining, island-style nightlife, and all the holiday fun St. John has to offer.

Rental Notes

You may rent just Ylang-Ylang for one to four persons, or you may also rent Ginger Thomas and/or Mandavilla (Ylang Ylang's two adjacent sister villas) together, to sleep up to 12 persons in three separate villas. Although these villas are next door to each other, privacy between the three properties is well maintained.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VILLA'S TWO BEDROOMS ARE ON SEPARATE FLOORS, ACCESSED BY AN OUTSIDE STAIRCASE.  ALTHOUGH CHILDREN 10 AND OVER ARE WELCOME, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THEY WILL BE SLEEPING SEPARATELY FROM THEIR PARENTS.*

On-site management is, from time to time, in apartment beneath Mandavilla (which is next door.)  He's there if you need him for seasoned advice on island activities and anything else you might want to know, but your vacation privacy is, of course, completely assured at Ylang-Ylang.

As of summer, 2009, there is a new home being built three lots over from Ylang-Ylang.  It's steel-beam construction, so that there is less noise and disruption than with building a concrete-and-wood home, but there are workmen and activity down the road. If you would like a current update as to the construction progress and details, please inquire, and we'll get that information for you.

Children are welcome- over 10 years only, please (*see Rental Notes, below). There is no maid service.

Smoking is not permitted in the house. Outside only.

A fine of $300 is required for damage deposit.
